4.2 FG Putaway And Stock-State Management

Purpose

Define the standard Odoo movement that takes a newly assembled FG vehicle from production completion through quality and into finished-goods stock.

Standard Location Pattern

  • OVT/Test: post-assembly test area
  • OVT/Quality: QA area
  • OVT/Packaging: packaging area
  • OVT/Finished Goods: saleable finished inventory

Workflow

  1. complete the MO and create the FG serial
  2. move the new unit into OVT/Test
  3. transfer the unit into OVT/Quality
  4. perform quality checks
  5. if passed, transfer the unit into OVT/Packaging
  6. transfer the packaged unit into OVT/Finished Goods

Expected Result

  • the FG vehicle exists as one serial-tracked unit
  • the serial is visible through output, quality, and FG stock history
  • the vehicle becomes saleable only after the pass decision and FG move
